The Pumpkin and The Valen-twins: We're still here!

Hello again! It's been radio silence over here for a few months, while we slogged through the worst part of the year. First we had a lot of this:

Those were from a storm that gave us 5 inches, which is impressive for NC. Durham schools were closed for 4 days because of this. luckily, I think this particular storm only closed daycare for one day. But there were other days where we were delayed for DRY roads, or had to pick them up early (like, 1:00) for flurries that didn't start until 6:00.

Chad was helpful in clearing a path for us.

And he and his little friend across the street took turns being slung around the ice on a sled.

We also brought a bucket of snow in for the babies to play with. I took pictures but can't find them. A camera is missing, and they might be on that one...

And we made a snow mouse, with antlers

And we did some cold weather science experiments!

But when it's cold enough to freeze water balloons, it's also cold enough to freeze your pipes. So we bailed and spent the night at Kenmare.

They got over it when I decided that after 30 minutes straight of "Peek-a-boo!", the lack of baby toys meant they could watch TV for the first time. We chose a show on jungle cats.

We also had our share of sicknesses during the past two months. One nasty stomach bug went from Natalie to Chad to Theo to Andy, while I shunned them all in an act of self-preservation.
