Cell phone photo dump

Assuming you can forgive me for the bad photo quality, here is where my cell phone has been since Christmas.

Chad left a note for Santa, suggesting he share some cookies with Mrs. Claus and asking which cookie was the best. We had Grinch cookies, Mouse cookies, Andes mint cookies, Root Beer Float cookies and Oreo Candy Cane cookies, which were a real biotch to make. Guess which ones Santa picked though? We also left eggnog and carrots and oat for the reindeer.

Theo and his chickadee-dee-dee

Chad's art. They were supposed to draw a picture of what they liked, and Chad likes flying to New York to see family.

The first time she stole my shoes. Won't be the last.

We did it! We got our 7 fishes for Christmas. (Not all on Christmas Eve though. It was spread out over 48 hours. And we had to count goldfish crackers and Swedish fish as two of them.) Still, it should count. These were stuffed calamari. Will probably never attempt this again.

Nothing like a Christmas Day stroll around the neighborhood with your toy lawnmower.

And Theo manned the seed sprayer, which he used to collect some leaves in.

Santa gave me a selfie stick! This was our first time using it! We were at City Beverage for New Year's dinner

Artsy crafty time!

We were painting plaster tree ornaments

Note the creative cropping so you can only see a small bit of the mess in our living room.

Arts and crafts time ended when Theo began eating the paint.

Snow in NC!

At their two-year check-ups he was 2 inches taller and 6 pounds heavier.

With the help of our fine baking and dabbing skills, the Panthers made it to the Super Bowl

Here's little Nats before her two year old check-up. The doctor was unimpressed with her weight gain, but I think we have her back on track now. She is still in 18 month clothes, but she feels a little heavier these days. Nowhere near Theo's heft though.

Family portrait at Kenmare house using the selfie stick!

Happy birthday, Theo and Natalie!

Her teachers says she looks dainty in dresses. Looks can be deceiving.

Theo was "home sick". Whatever. He seemed fine.

Chad helped make a blueberry cool whip pie for the Super Bowl. That is a blueberry goal post on it.

Bad times for Cam and friends. :(

Celebrating our lottery victory! (Separate post to come.)

First day of Little League! (Separate post to come. Maybe. I feel like I'm setting myself up for broken promises here.)

At The Little Gym a birthday party for their little friend Mia. A bunch of friends from the toddler classroom helped her celebrate. And they were kind enough to invite siblings too.

First haircut! Just got some bangs added

She did very well!

Meltdown by Natalie

Meltdown by Theo

Ready to roll! Theo has kind of figured out how the pedals work.

Chad wanted to help volunteer to clean up one of our favorite running trails. They got garbage grabber things and filled three of those bags, plus dragged about 6 tires out. Chad said it was the best day of his life.

It was just me and them and it was getting hard to keep an eye on both of them. I told them we had to stick together, and Natalie immediately said, "Hold hands, Theo??" and then they traveled as a pair

It was not easy to steer their toys and hold hands.

Our rainy Easter activities included balancing Easter eggs on spoons.

Macaroon nests!

I have been avoiding Facebook as much as possible lately, only logging in to clear away pesky notifications on my phone, or to RSVP to events. Anyway, we were joking Easter morning that Facebook would be super fake on holidays because everyone was probably posting sweet pictures of their children dressed in their pretty suits and dresses, while we were dealing with three bundles of attitude who a) threw tantrums because he only wanted to wear sweatpants b) cried because the pink PAAS tablet took too long to dissolve, c) had to be reprimanded for trying to drink the egg dye-ing water etc. etc., and instead of a fancy ham all I could pull off this year was a ham and cheese crescent roll quiche thing. So to anyone else who felt downtrodden because Facebook only had pictures of smiling children on Easter, I present to you the closest picture we got of all three of them together, and two minutes after this was taken, Chad was sent to his room for the evening.

But on the Monday after Easter, Natalie was in a much better mood and I got a legit sweet picture of her.
