Chad's PopPop came to town for a week, and Chad had lots of fun!
His weekend started off not-so-fun, because we woke up to a baby with goopy red eyes. First case of conjunctivitis! Frankly, I'm surprised he made it this long without getting it. The doc said it was viral, which meant no need to squirt drops in his eyes. He spent Friday at home, and his eyes were clear by Sunday.
On Staurday we took him to the Melting Pot, and he continued his tradition of chewing on the granite.

And then PopPop came on Sunday!
We were trying to get him to pose so we could enter him in a local "Santa Baby" contest, but he wouldn't give us a cute smile.
He ate PopPop's pumpkin pie, Q Shack chicken and macs, French toast and a little bit of green and white chili. There's also another "first" shown in this picture, but it's not a very fun one!
We have mastered the stairs!
Chad can take up to three steps unassisted at a time now! No pictures of that yet, because his walking is so sporadic I would never be able to catch a video of it unless we installed hidden cameras all over the house. We've also had a few instances of unassisted standing, which is super cute. And PopPop also taught him to play soccer, and now he kicks at his toys all the time.
The first day after PopPop left, Chad was very out of sorts and whiny. He missed having someone else besides us to play with! Or maybe his festering ear infection was bothering him, but let's pretend he just wanted extra soccer lessons.
