One Month Old!

Can you believe it's been a month? 
Look how big the twinkies are now!

Natalie and Theo have not been up to too much excitement lately, because it's hard to be exciting when you lack good head control. They go for long walks with us every day, so we can keep an eye on the house building progress in our neighborhood.

And Chad has been teaching them all the important things they need to know, starting with a thorough primer on Lightning McQueen.

I'm obsessed with trying to get them in coordinating outfits. It never seems to last all day. Someone always has a bodily fluid accident, sometimes before we even get out of their bedroom. Here are a few brief successes:

Every twin book I read said to let them share a crib for the first few months. "It will comfort them," the books all said. Well, we decided that getting puked on and begin kicked in the head was not going to be much comfort to Natalie, so Theo has now been moved to his own crib.

The coordinating outfits does not stop with just Natalie and Theo. Here are two T rex outfits! One of them was much happier about being in this picture than the other.

I plopped them down together while I put some laundry away, and at first they were super cute about it:

But then Theo decided that sharing a uterus for 9 months was enough sharing, and he drew the line at sharing a Boppy:

She is still sooo cute, even when getting elbowed in the ear.

They want to eat every three hours during the nights. This means still no sleep for us. Luckily, 90% of the time they'll both fall asleep again as soon as they eat. Last night that didn't work out so much. It was a real party in their room.

In theory, it's nice to hold them both at once, but in practice, they are a lot heavier than they look, and once you're in this position you can't really move until someone takes one from you.

Chad has been very busy going to school (in February they learned about "Light and Dark") and going on play dates, because he is Mr. Popular. Today he got to go to LegoFest! 

There was a life-size Lightning McQueen made entirely of Legos there! And also a Lego gorilla and giraffe.
