Theo and Natalie brought Chad a present! His very own (Fisher Price) digital camera. Unfortunately, they remembered the batteries, but not the screw driver to open the battery compartment, so we couldn't use it the first day. :(
On Tuesday, Chad visited again. He got into bed with me and shouted, "Give me a baby!" But we couldn't, because he had work to do! Our nurse needed him to help her take everyone's vitals.
He had to listen to their heartbeats, and then push buttons on the thermometer to take their temps.
This particular nurse usually works with the tiny special care babies, but came to work on our floor for the day and was assigned to Theo and Natalie. We were lucky to get her, because she shared some feeding tips to get Natalie to eat more and stop her weight from dropping any further. They worked! Natalie gained 0.5 oz in the next 24 hours.
We talked to patient relations to give two nurses shout-outs for being so awesome. This one and the one who was with me for the first two days. They were both great, and made sure my pain meds were delivered exactly on time. Some of the other nurses didn't keep me as drugged, and I had to keep calling for them to be delivered.
Chad brought his camera the second day, and photographed everything in my room. These pictures are Fisher Price quality, and show the room as seen by a 3-year-old who doesn't quite grasp that he has to hold a camera still when taking pictures.

My breathing thingamabob, laptop, coffee and chapstick. And Daddy's torso. Kind of a cool artsy photo, if you look at it right.
Finally, he settled down to hold each baby. He brought these two pictures into daycare to show all the teachers, and hang them up in the Family Area.
And PopPop took this first picture of all 5 of us.
