They met their cats:
They hung out with PopPop:
They went to see their doctor:
Theo thought the doctor's visit was a horrible experience. Here he is between screams after their weight check:
Natalie thought it was no biggie, and even wore a hair bow to the event:
They were weighing in at 5 lbs, 11 oz and 5 lbs 6 oz, which is so good for twins! AND the doctor gave us a whole case of formula to try out before we sign up for the twin program with the formula company. We go back again this week. Fingers crossed we score even more free formula. ;)
They had their first sponge bath at home, supervised by Chad in the Big Brother Chair:
Natalie was only slightly disturbed by the bath:
This is the most upset she gets.
But Theo thought this was the Worst Thing Ever:
Let's just say he has healthy lungs
They became the 21st and 22nd babies in our cradle:
Theo hated it. Natalie fell asleep
Natalie was subjected to lots of frilly outfits. I used to make fun of baby girls with hair bows and flowers. But Natalie already owns 9.
Theo remains blissfully unaware that nearly every outfit he has is a hand-me-down from Chad. This will be problematic down the road, since they look so much alike, and we'll never be able to tell them apart in pictures:
He is our ferocious alligator when he's hungry.
They went to get their newborn photos taken. This was the one thing I wanted to splurge on for them, because I regret not doing it with Chad.
They Skyped with Andy's group for a meeting where they found out they won an award for customer satisfaction scores. Yay, Andy!
They fell asleep together and looked super cute, even when kicking each other in the head:
That awkward moment when your parents realize they don't have any boy sleep sacks in preemie size, so they dress you in one of your sisters.
They were unimpressed by the Olympics:
They experienced the biggest snow storm since we've lived here:
That's Chad and his current BFF Carter. Carter is getting a new baby brother or sister any day now, so they'll have lots of commiserating to do.
And they plotted against me:
Don't be fooled by their cuteness. They were clearly planning their next double meltdown.
She may be tiny, but Natalie is clearly the ringleader.
We're all doing better with sleep than we did when Chad was their age. They wake us up every three hours to eat, but they're better about falling back to sleep after eating than Chad ever was. I say we're doing better, but yesterday I was trying to clean the house up a little bit, and I was so out of it I actually threw my iPad in the trash. (It was rescued an hour or so later when I realized it was missing. No damage!) Since there's two of them, we both have to get up every time to do two diaper changes and two bottles, because it would take one person an hour to get through all that alone. By the time Chad was on that reliable a schedule, we were able to plan who would get up when, and that would give each of us a longer stretch of sleep.
Fortunately, our friends and co-workers have dropped a few meals off, so even if sleep deprivation gets really bad, we won't starve.
