Today was Chad's first beach trip! We've been wanting to go to Wilmington for a few weeks, but then it occurred to us that we should probably make sure Chad is OK with being in water before we drive 2+ hours each way. Our trial beach visit was to Seaforth, which is only 20 miles away and was perfect for his first beach experience. There were bathrooms, showers and changing rooms nearby, and a playground in case you get tired of beachiness. There were baby diaper changing stations in both the men's and women's rooms, and fortunately for me, the safety strap on the one in the women's room was broken, so Andy gets full diaper duty on future excursions here! :)
Waiting for his sunblock to soak in a little bit. He attracted a little girl while he was waiting. He's such a ladies man.
The water wasn't quite Sanibel-warm, but it was warm enough for me to go in, and I'm a sissy about cold water.
The next time we go to Seaforth I'm going to buy one of those baby floaters for Chad and a matching khaki hat for me. (And speaking of Chad and I matching, wait until those of you who are going to Cool Aunt Steph's wedding see the outfit Chad is going to wear! It is the cutest thing ever!!)
The beach wore Chad out! After we got home he got a quick bath and has been sleeping since then.
