Christmas Eve: Italians are supposed to eat seven different fish, but Chad is only part Italian, so we let him get away with eating just two. He had tilapia and cilantro (left over from fish tacos) and then a tiny piece of shrimp from our ceviche.
And then he also got his first taste of cookie, courtesy of Colleen.
Then it was time to hang his stocking!
Christmas Day: Lots of presents to open!!
He got bath soap in his stocking, and was oddly excited by that.
"Seriously, Mom? You got me clothes for Christmas?"
"I am no longer interested in these clothes and am ready to open a funner present."
Chad wrapped my present in a diaper.
A Little People Zoo toy with talking animals- Chad's favorite thing to do is put the animals in the canopy swing and give his animals a ride.
Every boy needs a drum that he can bang a thousand times in a row.
I don't have pictures of all the present opening because some of it occurred during Skype-ing. Sorry about that.
For dinner, he ate all of his stuffing and most of the turkey, but threw the mashed potatoes around. The stuffing was made of wild mushrooms and leeks, and was a hit- Chad had stuffing with dinner every night for the rest of the week and always cleaned his plate. Mmmm, leeks!
Boxing Day: Here are just a few more pictures of Chad playing with some presents!
He's still holding onto that bottle of bath soap! At one point he took off his sock and used it to "clean" the bottle a bit.
